We had a short visit tonight. Neal was tired, he'd had a long, but GOOD day. He was able to stay off the ventilator for 1/2 hour today. They are hoping by the end of next week to take him off completely. No new movement, but his attitude remains upbeat.

Off the ventilator for a little while! Woo-Hoo! This is one of the two things he really hates.

Glad to hear there is some progress and that Neal is interested in starting his rehabilitation :) Also glad to hear of the device that he can "puff" to turn on TV, etc. It's important to have some control and be able to do some things yourself.
